New Mural at Belconnen Community Centre

During the past week, artist Joabie Bodere-Lovett has painted a new mural in the theatre foyer in Belconnen Community Centre. Joabie is an emerging indigenous artist who had his first solo exhibition, “Symbols of the Dreaming from the Chaos Void” in Belconnen Gallery during NAIDOC week this year. He was assisted by his daughter, Jamika in the painting of this mural. Please enjoy these photos of the work taking shape. We hope you can see it in person in the Centre soon. Immediately below is the finished product.
