The Belconnen Community Council (BCC) welcomes this opportunity to contribute to the consultation on the Missing Middle Housing Reforms.
While we support the effort to improve the quality of medium-density housing in the ACT, this submission focuses not on the specific content of the design guide, but on the conditions that will determine whether it succeeds in practice. In particular, we focus on two areas that require further attention: the transparency of the consultation process and the operational capacity of key government referral entities, like Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS), to support implementation.
