Belconnen's history
Belconnen turned 40 on 23 June 2006. In 1966
the first sod was turned in Aranda. To celebrate
the Belconnen Website now has a special page on
Belconnen history. The
page now includes Brian Rhynehart's chronological
history of Belconnen.

Belconnen Arts Centre open for art!
The Belconnen Arts Centre was opened on August
27 by Chief Minister Jon Stanhope and opened to
the public on Saturday August 29. Thousands of
people streamed through to see local artists and
displays. Many of the facilities rooms are booked
into the future.

Voluntary Travel Behaviour Change Project intended
to encourage the use of healthier, more sustainable
transport modes. It was conducted in Belconnen
over 2006 and 2007. It is now complete. read
